About Vineland, New Jersey
Vineland is a city and the most populous municipality in Cumberland County, within the U.S. state of New Jersey. Charles K. Landis purchased 30,000 acres (47 mi2) of land in 1861 and an additional 23,000 acres (36 mi2) in 1874, near Millville, along what would become the West Jersey and Seashore Railroad line, which provided service between Camden and Cape May. The Delsea Drive-In, located on Route 47 (Delsea Drive) north of County Route 552, was for years the only remaining drive-in theater in the state of New Jersey, the state in which they were first created in 1932 in Camden.
