Guide
Which Orange County campuses have nursing
This page is the Orange County city list, cut down to campuses that report a registered-nursing program in IPEDS. Both parts are required. A nursing program outside those cities stays off. An Orange County college with no registered-nursing program stays off.
UC Irvine and Cal State Fullerton are on it. So are community colleges such as Saddleback, Santa Ana, Cypress, and Golden West, and private campuses such as Vanguard, Concordia University Irvine, and West Coast University in Anaheim. The table sorts by undergraduate enrollment.

Two filters, both narrow
The place filter is the same city allowlist as the Orange County page, limited to California. The program filter is the registered-nursing curriculum code. A campus has to pass both. A related health program that is not registered nursing does not pass.
The fact column is the college's control, public or private. Every row already reports a registered-nursing program, so the column does not repeat the program name. It also does not list the award level. Open the college for the program detail the Scorecard holds.
County campuses with no nursing program
Chapman University is in the city of Orange, so it is on the county page. It is not on this page unless it reports the registered-nursing program. Most colleges in the county are in that position. The county page is the right list for them.
A hospital school or a campus just over the county line stays off even when students from Orange County enroll. The rule is the Scorecard city plus the program. Commute patterns are not in the file.
How to read the rows
An associate path and a bachelor's path are different routes into the same profession. This table does not list the award level. The fact column is only public or private. Seat counts, waitlists, and clinical sites are not in the file. Open the college, then check the program, for those facts.
Enrollment order puts larger institutions first. A community college can sit above a university on that sort and still offer a different credential. Do not treat the top row as the most advanced program. Size is the sort, and nothing more.
What this page cannot promise
Registered nursing in IPEDS is a program inventory. It is not accreditation advice, and it is not a pass rate on the licensing exam. Use the list to find campuses that report the program. Then use the college, and the state board, for the current cohort.
Application fees, test policy, and admission rate are properties of the college, not of the nursing seat. A college can be easy to apply to and still have a selective nursing cohort. This page does not split those two gates.
Where the schools are
Every school on this list is in California. A campus in another state stays off, even when the system or the brand reaches further.
Who runs them
By reported control, 8 are public, 4 are private for-profit, and 2 are private nonprofit. A blank control stays out of that split.
Predominant degree is the credential the campus awards most often. On this list it is a bachelor's degree at 7 schools, an associate degree at 5 schools, and a certificate at 2 schools. A campus can still award other credentials.
How large they are
The largest undergraduate enrollments on this list are California State University-Fullerton in Fullerton, California, with 38,546 undergraduates, University of California-Irvine in Irvine, California, with 30,197 undergraduates, and Santa Ana College in Santa Ana, California, with 22,485 undergraduates. Enrollment is the undergraduate figure. It is not a ranking, and it leaves out graduate students.
Admission
6 of 14 schools report an admission rate. The median of those rates is 59%. Schools with no reported rate stay out of the median. A missing rate is not an open door, and it is not a closed one.
The lowest reported admission rates on this list are Stanbridge University in Irvine, California, at 10%, University of California-Irvine in Irvine, California, at 29%, and Pacific College in Costa Mesa, California, at 56%. A lower rate is harder entry. It is not a score for the school.
The highest reported admission rates on this list are California State University-Fullerton in Fullerton, California, at 91%, Concordia University-Irvine in Irvine, California, at 66%, and Vanguard University of Southern California in Costa Mesa, California, at 62%.
What they charge
Among 8 public colleges that report an in-state sticker price, the median is $1,280. Among 3 private colleges that report a sticker price, the median is $41,700. 3 other private colleges on the list do not report one.
Sticker price is not net price. Grants, waivers, and a service commitment can move the bill by a wide margin. Open a school for the net-price figures.
Earnings and graduation
Among 14 schools that report earnings, the median of those school-level medians is $60,843. The clock starts at entry, not at graduation. The highest reported medians on this list are West Coast University-Anaheim-Orange County in Anaheim, California, at $102,672, University of California-Irvine in Irvine, California, at $80,735, and Pacific College in Costa Mesa, California, at $70,064.
Among 14 schools that report a graduation rate, the median rate is 58%. A blank rate is left out. It is not treated as zero.
Athletics in this file
2 report NCAA Division I athletics. A blank athletics field means this file has no division for that campus. It does not prove the campus has no team.
Also on other lists
Some of these schools also meet the rule for another list on this site. The overlap is a second flag or a second classification. It is not a second ranking.
1 is also on R1 research universities. 1 is also on R2 research universities. 9 are also on Hispanic-serving institutions.
How these figures work
Admission rate, enrollment, sticker price, earnings, and graduation rate all come from the College Scorecard. Earnings are the median 10 years after a student entered the school. Tuition for a public college is the in-state sticker price. Tuition for a private college is the published sticker price. None of these is net price after aid.
A blank field stays blank. This page does not turn a blank admission rate into an open door, a blank fee into a free application, or a blank earnings figure into zero. The table above is membership under the rule in this guide. Sort order is not a quality ranking.
