About Valley Glen, California

Valley Glen is a neighborhood in the southeastern section of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, California. Prior to 1998, Valley Glen was part of Van Nuys and North Hollywood. In 1997, more than 70% of the area's homeowners signed a petition to change the name of a section of Van Nuys (between Burbank and Victory boulevards) to Valley Glen. The Great Wall of Los Angeles, a half mile-long mural portraying the history of California "as seen through the eyes of women and minorities," stretches along the concrete sides of the Tujunga Wash, and is credited with being one of the longest murals in the world. Does the school pay you to attend?

Los Angeles Valley College funds essentially no grants of its own — almost all aid here comes from federal (Pell), state, or outside sources rather than the school's own discount. Its sticker price is what it is.

Solid value

A reasonable return: earnings comfortably clear the debt over a few years for most students who finish.

Earnings are the College Scorecard median for former students (working, not enrolled) 10 years after entry — not a guarantee, and they vary a lot by major. Debt is the median federal loan balance at graduation.
