About Marion, Ohio
Marion is a city in Marion County, Ohio, United States, and its county seat. Marion was laid out in 1822, and is named in honor of General Francis Marion. On March 15, 1830, Marion elected Nathan Peters as its first Mayor. The Palace Theatre (c. 1928) is a 1440-seat atmospheric theatre designed by John Eberson in the Spanish Colonial Revival architecture style.
