About Concord, Massachusetts

Concord is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. The name was an Algonquian word for "grassy plain", fitting the area's low-lying marshes and kettle holes. The area was largely depopulated in 1633 by an epidemic of smallpox, a disease likely to have been introduced to the New World by European explorers and settlers. Concord is featured in the 2012 video game Assassin's Creed 3, the 2020 video game Assassin's Creed Valhalla and the 2015 video game Fallout 4.
