Maysville is a home rule-class city in Mason County, Kentucky, United States, and is the county seat of Mason County. Buffalo once forded the Ohio here, beating a broad path into the interior of Kentucky in search of salt licks. In the 17th century, the powerful Iroquois Confederacy, based in present-day New York state, drove out other tribes to hold the Ohio Valley as a hunting ground. The Simon Kenton Memorial Bridge is a suspension bridge built in 1931 crossing the Ohio River and originally opened with a toll. Its main span is 323 meters (1,060 feet) long, and the total length of the bridge is 607 meters (1,991 feet). (Wikipedia)
